Started training in 1978 at the Jiu-Jitsu Club ‘KI’ in Skovlunde. Has trained Jiu-Jitsu ever since, with a single break from 1991 to 1998 due to family expansion.
Graduated 1st Dan Jiu-Jitsu in 1985
Graduated 2nd Dan Jiu-Jitsu in 1987
Graduated 3rd Dan Jiu-Jitsu in 2003
Graduated 4th Dan Jiu-Jitsu in 2011
Graduated 5th Dan Jiu-Jitsu in 2015
Received 6th Dan as an honorary degree in 2020
Graduated 3rd Kyu Aikido in 1983
Graduated 4th kyu Iaido in 1984
Practised Karate and Judo for many years alongside Jiu-Jitsu
Since 2011, has been working extensively with ground fighting and BJJ – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Graduated blue belt in BJJ in 2015

Has been an instructor at the Jiu-Jitsu Club ‘KI’ in Skovlunde since 1982 and at Aarhus Jiu-Jitsu since 2010.
Has taught a wide variety of subjects in sports, such as martial arts and dog breeding, and in work-related subjects such as IT, production planning and organisational theory.
Teaches weekend training sessions, courses and summer camps for Ju-Jitsu Denmark, the official association under the Danish Sports Federation.
Teaches courses in self-defence for women in Aarhus
Style instructor (a kind of national coach) in the Danish Judo and Ju-Jitsu Union (DJU) Jiu-Jitsu Style since 2004.
Trainer licence A (highest level) in combined DIF and DJU training centre for trainers in Jiu-Jitsu. Includes teaching methods, training methods, physiology, anatomy, injury prevention and mental training.

Grading judge for all grades since 2002 after a break (also judge in the period 1986–1992)
